i love pretty packaging. i also love to recycle. so this is my budget-friendly compromise with gift wrapping this year. i started off with some empty boxes in a variety of shapes and sizes.
grabbed my trusty spray-adhesive..
and some pretty paper (here, I am working with my stash of textured wallpaper samples - you could use magazines, old calendars, posters, etc)
cut the top flaps off the boxes
then spray and begin to wrap your box in paper. don't worry if your paper didn't reach all the way around - either cut a second strip of paper or add ribbon to cover it up.making a nice crease helps it stick!

then, i dove into my notions and used some trim, sequins, and buttons to dress it up.
I added those fancy glitter letters...
ta-da! beautiful gift boxes.. total cost = $0

So beautiful (and inspiring!) Love!
These are way cool! I'm using comic strips from the newspaper this year - recycled wrapping is so fun :)
This is such a great idea! I totally love it
This is such a clever idea :) Thanks for sharing <3
What a great idea. Sometimes the gift bag, bow, card, tissue paper, etc, etc...is more expensive than the gift itself. This makes the bag part of the gift and it can be used over and over again. Score!
they look so cute and I always hate the waste of things like this, so awesome idea! i'm really going to try to remember this & give it a shot this season!
