one of the (many) reasons i've fallen in love with Seattle is the abundance of gorgeous state parks - perfect for a little hike after a long day's work (read: sitting in front of the computer) We've got a gem of a park close to our neighborhood and have made an evening ritual of walking, talking, and enjoying the view. the dogs are loving the habit, and I am too.
there are some crazy trees - these two are my favorite, with roots and trunks growing right out of the ground. nature is totally amazing, right? we're in awe of something new almost every time.
lately the ground has been moist and there have been tons of slugs!! they are so gross yet so intriguing - we've got to watch our steps because they are everywhere...
on the way home, General likes to stick his head out of the window so the wind blows is ears back - you can't tell from this photo but it seriously makes him the happiest dog on earth!
